Retrofit of Taxiway Lighting from Halogen to LEDs

After an extensive trial period, MIAL awarded AMA the contract to retrofit 1,200 Taxiway Elevated lights with 45W halogen lamps to LEDs.

MIAL’s engineering team calculated that the Return on Investment (ROI) was just 7 months and AMA was able to complete the retrofit jobs before MIAL’s target of the financial year ending. Due to the simple design of the kit, the works could be carried out in the field itself.

AMA has also carried out retrofit jobs at Hyderabad (460 lights) and offered free trials at a number of private and AAI airports.
